RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill is committed to achieving its vision of a vibrant and inclusive city of neighbours. Through the Community and Cultural Grant program, Richmond Hill supports community groups, organizations and individuals that are passionate about enhancing the quality of life and cultural vibrancy for Richmond Hill residents through the delivery of programs, services and/or activities. In 2024, Richmond Hill Council has committed to supporting 20 applications, amounting to $59,564. 

Applications are reviewed by a jury of staff and citizens based on criteria outlined in the program application and guidelines. The maximum grant per project is 50 per cent of the project budget up to a maximum of $5,000 and provides funding for a vast array of projects, such as art exhibitions, choral/vocal arts performances, dance workshops, environmental initiatives, cultural festivals and events, filmmaking, Indigenous-led experiential programming, seniors’ programs, theatre, social services, youth-led philanthropic sports, and more.
