Richmond Hill Celebrates Seniors This June
RICHMOND HILL – Every year, the City of Richmond Hill dedicates the month of June to our seniors to celebrate the significant contributions they make every day to the community.
This year’s month-long activities kick off June 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Mill Pond Park with the annual Adults 55+ Barbecue. This free event offers an afternoon of fun and entertainment featuring The Wong Mo Trio. We will also present the 2023 Senior of the Year Award.
In addition to the barbecue, the City has many other exciting Adults 55+ activities and events planned for the month at Oak Ridges Community Centre (registration required):
- Ice Cream Social: Join us June 21 at 1 p.m. where residents can enjoy an ice cream cone and views of the lake while listening to live music.
- Experience Drums Alive: On June 7 at 1:45 p.m., move to the beat of the music and your own drumming rhythms.
- Learn To Play Chess: This workshop on June 13 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. is a great way to learn from those experienced in the game, socialize and improve your skills!
