Richmond Hill Continues to Represent Nationally
Richmond Hill Ward 6 Councillor Godwin Chan Re-elected to FCM Board
Working on behalf of its members, FCM engages with the Federal government on a number of issues impacting municipalities. Councillor Chan is proud to continue his work promoting the investment in shovel ready-shovel worthy public transit projects like the Yonge Street Subway extension to Richmond Hill, as well as promoting community safety and fostering a sense of community belonging at a Federal level.
”I look forward to serving on the FCM Board as we continue strengthening our relationship with the Federal Government and reinforcing the role of local governments and communities in building our nation stronger,” said Councillor Chan. “I trust this new era of partnership with the Federal Government will have direct and positive benefits for the residents of Richmond Hill, particularly on infrastructure investments.”
Councillor Chan has served on the following FCM Standing Committees: Community Safety & Crime Prevention; International Relations; Municipal Finance & Intergovernmental Arrangements; and Municipal Infrastructure & Transportation. This year, he looks forward to continuing work on the Municipal Infrastructure & Transportation Standing Committee.
