City Providing 26 Grants to Support Programs, Events and Activities Across the City

RICHMOND HILL – From arts and culture to community programming, 26 local initiatives are receiving a boost through Richmond Hill’s 2026 Community and Cultural Grant program. City Council has approved $99,985 in funding to help bring these projects to life and strengthen community connections across the city.

This year saw record interest with 71 applications submitted, highlighting the continued creativity and passion of Richmond Hill’s community groups, organizations and residents.

Grants support initiatives delivered within a 12-month period. Applicants could request up to 50% of total project costs, to a maximum of $5,000.

Since originally launching in 2015, the program has supported more than 162 projects involving over 677 activities, engaging 256,314 participants and 7,519 volunteers.
