Richmond Hill – I want to thank the people of Richmond Hill for the confidence you have placed in me as your new Mayor.

You have said loud and clear you are looking for thoughtful leadership that works together for the benefit of our combined public interest. I will be a Mayor who works together with Council to serve the interests of our community.

I know that by working together we can be a community that looks after the environment, encourages business and prosperity, and cares compassionately for its people.  

This year, we need to focus on some very important and large projects, such as the Official Plan Update, which will guide our growth and development into the future. It’s important to me that the public and other stakeholders continue to be engaged in the update process.

It is also my priority to ensure people feel welcome to participate in municipal life, with opportunities to share thoughts and ideas, and to be heard on important issues that affect them. City Council and staff must show that we are listening.

By continuing to work closely with all Members of Council and our great community, I know we can build the best Richmond Hill – one we can all be very proud to call home!
