Outdoor skating and free indoor skates planned for March Break 

RICHMOND HILL – If winter in Richmond Hill had a theme this year, it would definitely include skating. All season long, skaters of all ages have hit the ice across the city. From crisp outdoor glides to warm, indoor family skates, Richmond Hill’s skating options have offered plenty of ways to stay active and have fun. 

Thanks to Desjardins Insurance’s continued sponsorship, the City has been able to offer many free indoor public skating opportunities, making it even easier for residents to drop in and enjoy the season – no admission required. And with March Break just around the corner, there’s still lots of ice time to look forward to, including: 

• Free indoor public skates provided by Desjardins
• Ed Sackfield Arena: March 16, 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. and 5:45 - 6:45 p.m.
• Tom Graham Arena: March 17, 2:45 - 3:45 p.m. and 3:45 - 4:45 p.m.
• Outdoor skating at Richmond Green, Mill Pond and Lake Wilcox (weather permitting) and Bayview Hill Park, the City’s newest outdoor skating rink 

Whether you’re gliding along the Richmond Hill Skate Trail presented by Desjardins Insurance, enjoying a family skate indoors or squeezing in one last outdoor spin before spring arrives, Richmond Hill’s skating season continues to offer something for everyone.
