RICHMOND HILL – Summer is far from over and you don’t have to go far to enjoy it! There is still plenty of time to discover all the fun activities Richmond Hill has to offer. Here are nine ideas to inspire your next local summer adventure:
- Take in a Concert in the Park
Concerts in the Park continue at Mill Pond Park on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. throughout August, including performances by Solitary Man: A Tribute to Neil Diamond, Fleetwood Mac Mania, Jimmy and the Buzz, and Liverpool 4: A Tribute to the Beatles. - StoryWalk in the Park
Join Richmond Hill Public Library on Thursdays 6:30-8 p.m. at Mill Pond Park for a StoryWalk. Take a stroll and enjoy a beloved children's book displayed on a series of panels. - Catch a Moonlight Movie
Moonlight Movies are happening at various locations on select Mondays in August and September. Pack your blanket, chairs and snacks and watch a feature film under the stars. - Tour a National Historic Site
Now through the end of August, drop by the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory any Wednesday to Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 1-8 p.m. to enjoy a self-guided tour of Canada’s National Historic Site and see Canada’s largest telescope! Note: This does not include demonstrations or viewing through the telescope. - Work on your Cross-Court Shot

From a life-sized snakes and ladders board game to a bridge etched in constellations, the city has many unique amenities for you to discover and enjoy, including 15 splash pads! - Escape to the Theatre for a Live Performance
Book a show at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts or check out “LIVE! In the Plaza”, a revamped summer music series featuring great local artists. - Stay Active this Summer with Richmond Hill Public Library
Join a free outdoor, total-body fitness class Saturdays in August at RHPL’s Central branch! Registration required. All ages and fitness levels welcome.
