Richmond Hill Residents Have Another Place to Horse Around in Their Future
Construction of the new 3.25 acre Rocking Horse Ranch park will begin this summer after Council directed staff to award the $1 million tender for the project. Located on Hunting Ridges Drive north of Jefferson Forest Drive, the park will provide a variety of recreational opportunities for residents including, a double unlit tennis court, full basketball court, senior playground, fitness equipment, shade structure, seating, walking loop, playground lighting and plantings. The park was designed using a horseback riding theme to reflect its location near the former site of the stable that was known as Rocking Horse Ranch. Construction is expected to be complete before the summer of 2015. To view the landscape plan and park features, visit RichmondHill.ca/ParksDesign.
