Fireworks, Live Entertainment, Midway, Contests Planned for July 1!

RICHMOND HILL – The City of Richmond Hill has a full day of entertainment ready to go for this year’s Canada Day, presented by Tim Hortons and partially funded by the Government of Canada. Starting at a new time this year, festivities run 2 -11 p.m. at Richmond Green Park, 1300 Elgin Mills Road East, with a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m. that will illuminate the sky! 

Bring your friends and family to enjoy a line-up of exciting live performances, contests and midway along with RH150 themed activities to mark Richmond Hill’s 150^th anniversary. Food and drink concessions will also be available along with a licensed, outdoor patio.

 2023 Canada Day Line Up

• Main Stage, 2 – 11 p.m.
  Entertainment for all ages, including the Richmond Hill Concert Band, Saint O, Girl Pow-R, the ever popular Rubik’s Cube contest, four-piece indie-folk band I, the Mountain, and DJ, HUMAN KEBAB (a.k.a. Jason Parsons). At 8 p.m., headliner Kardinal Offishall takes to the stage. He is the first rapper from Canada in history to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Recently, Kardinal served as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent.

• RH150 Themed Activities, 2 – 10 p.m.
  Join in our celebrations to mark Richmond Hill’s 150^th anniversary! Take part in an RH150 themed scavenger hunt, snap a photo with our oversized RH150 photo installation, and share your memories and favourite things about the City in our on-site Speakers Corner to be featured in the RH150 legacy video!

• Superior Events Midway, 2 – 10 p.m.
  Play all day in one of the Region’s largest midways with more than 20 mechanical and inflatable attractions and a low-impact play-zone for toddlers. Individual tickets and Unlimited Ride Wristbands available.

• Community Corner, 2 – 8 p.m.
  Enjoy exhibitor booths, sports demonstrations and cultural performances under the Wedding Gazebo. Pre-register online to take part in an array of contests.

• Art Exhibit at Boynton House, 2 – 8 p.m.
  Showcasing contemporary arts and crafts, local art organizations and schools. Watch artist demonstrations, purchase one-of-a-kind art from established artists, undiscovered talents, art groups and organizations.

• Fireworks at 10 p.m.
  Enjoy one of the Region’s largest pyro-musical fireworks displays, choreographed to a melody of songs by various Canadian artists. Watch for the purple and gold fireworks to commemorate RH150! “Fireworks Viewing Areas” are indicated throughout the park for the best locations to watch the display.
