Notice of Public Information Centre #2 - Addison Extension Environmental Assessment
The City of Richmond Hill invites you to attend an online Public Information Centre (PIC) #2 for the Addison Street Extension Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) and Preliminary Design Study. The purpose of PIC #2 will be to present and collect feedback on study progress, with a focus on the extension’s alternative alignments.
Date: Wednesday, March 20, 2024
Time: 6 - 8 p.m.
Where: Online via the study website at RichmondHill.ca/AddisonEA
The City of Richmond Hill is conducting this MCEA and Preliminary Design Study for the proposed extension of Addison Street between existing Addison Street and Weldrick Road West on the west side of Yonge Street.
The Addison Street extension will help define the intensification boundary and create a buffer between the existing low-density neighbourhood in the west and the emerging development along Yonge Street. Running parallel to Yonge Street, this new roadway will enhance the road network by providing local transportation capacity, active transportation, access opportunities for new development, and a finer grid network.
This study is being carried out as a Schedule ‘C’ study under the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (March 2023). In identifying the recommended solutions, the study will consider technical and aesthetic requirements, as well as socio-economic, cultural heritage, and natural environment factors.
We are interested in hearing from you! PIC #2 will conclude with a Q&A period for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback to the Project Team. Members of the public are also welcome to submit comments, requests for further information about this study, or to be added to the mailing list at any time via the study website at RichmondHill.ca/AddisonEA, or by contacting the Project Team via:
