Richmond Hill residents can park free with permit - available online now!

RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill Council is taking action to address parking concerns at one of the City’s premier destination parks, Lake Wilcox Park.

Known for its unique combination of beautiful waterfront scenery and family-friendly amenities, Lake Wilcox Park attracts thousands of visitors from across the GTA each year. Among other highlights, the park features a waterfront promenade, a new pedestrian boardwalk over the lake, a splash pad and an award-winning youth area including a skate park and beach volleyball courts.

Beginning July 22, 2020, visitors will need to pay to park at any of the park’s four parking lots. Richmond Hill residents can continue to park for free by registering for a permit online at Parking.RichmondHill.ca. The free permit is valid for the entire summer season. 

Pay parking will be in effect each year from April 1 to September 30. Parking costs $4 per hour at the Oak Ridges Community Centre and the north gravel lots. It costs $5 per hour at the splash pad lot.

Parking restrictions are also being put in place on the residential streets around Lake Wilcox. Regulatory signs on local area streets will notify drivers of the restrictions.
