Fill out the online survey to have your say and for a chance to win

RICHMOND HILL – The City of Richmond Hill is seeking input and ideas from residents through an online survey to help plan its future parks, and guide recreation and culture opportunities for the next 10 years.

Feedback from residents will help inform decisions about urban parks, connectivity between open spaces, multi-use recreational facilities, festivals and events, and continuing to support the diversity of cultural opportunities that reflect the unique character of our community.

The online survey is available at RichmondHill.ca/ParksPlan until July 9 and respondents have the option to be entered in a draw for a chance to win a $50 gift card.

When complete in 2022, the updated Parks Plan and a new combined Recreation and Culture Plan will outline strategies and actions to support residents’ evolving needs and also help inform the City’s Official Plan Update. This is just one of the ways the City is delivering on Council’s priority to balance growth and green and demonstrating its commitment to being environmentally sustainable, culturally vibrant, economically strong, financially responsible and engaged with the community.

• In 2019, over 68,000 participants registered in the City’s Recreation and Culture programs.
• Richmond Hill won the Festivals and Events Ontario Achievement Award in 2021 for our very first virtual Canada Day celebration, Concerts in the Parking Lot and Santa’s Workshop Drive-Thru.
