Richmond Hill Celebrates Volunteer Excellence
Volunteer Achievement Awards recognize the spirit of community service
RICHMOND HILL – For more than 50 years, Richmond Hill’s Volunteer Achievement Awards have demonstrated how proud and thankful Richmond Hill is for the exceptional efforts of individuals, organizations and groups who help make our community the vibrant and welcoming place it is today. On Tuesday (April 22) at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, the 58th Volunteer Achievement Awards were presented by Mayor West and Members of Council to this year’s honourees – 21 individuals and five organizations making a difference in Richmond Hill.
Held every two years, the awards recognize volunteers for their unwavering commitment and the meaningful impact they have on the lives of Richmond Hill residents. This special evening comes a few days ahead of National Volunteer Week (April 27 to May 3) and acknowledges the hard work, passion and spirit of service the volunteers bring to the community.
