Virtual Performances, Drive-In Concert Planned for July 1

RICHMOND HILL – Join the City of Richmond Hill on Thursday, July 1 for an exciting Canada Day line-up. Activities include a virtual interactive showcase of performers (including local talent!), a drive-in concert, virtual fireworks and lots of fun and games for the whole family.

What’s on July 1

  • Virtual Interactive Showcase and Performances, 1 – 5 p.m.
    We have an afternoon schedule full of activities for all ages including Canadian music bingo, hula-hoop and circus workshop, a magic and illusion show and more. While space is limited to participate in the live interactive programming, there’s no limit to how many can watch online from home. The Official Welcome takes place at 1 p.m.
  • Drumming Celebration
    Be a part of a Canada-wide attempt to set a new Guinness World Records™ title of “Most people performing a drum roll online simultaneously”! Deadline to register is June 23.
  • Games and Contests
    We have a variety of games and contests planned for the big day, including a Kahoot Trivia Game, Rocket League video game tournament, Show Your Canadian Colours Contest and a Canadian Music Dance Contest.
  • Drive-In Concert, 6 – 8 p.m.
    Take part in our drive-in concert featuring Kayla Diamond from the comfort of your own car. Space is limited, so make sure to register early. You can also watch the concert online from home.

  • Virtual Fireworks Simulation, 8 p.m.
    Enjoy Canada Day fireworks from your mobile device or computer! The virtual fireworks simulation starts at 8 p.m.

Participez à la fête du Canada à Richmond Hill

avec les spectacles virtuels et le concert pour automobilistes prévus le 1er juillet

RICHMOND HILL – Joignez-vous à la Ville de Richmond Hill le jeudi 1er juillet pour assister à un programme passionnant pour la fête du Canada. Les activités comprennent un spectacle interactif virtuel d’artistes (y compris des talents locaux!), un concert pour automobilistes, des feux d’artifice virtuels et de nombreux jeux et divertissements pour toute la famille. 

À l’affiche le 1er juillet

  • Vitrine interactive virtuelle et spectacles, de 13 h à 17 h
    En après-midi, nous avons prévu de nombreuses activités pour tous les âges, notamment un bingo sur la musique canadienne, un atelier de hula-hoop et de cirque, un spectacle de magie et d’illusion, et plus encore. Si le nombre de places est limité pour participer à la programmation interactive en direct, il n’y a pas de limite au nombre de personnes qui peuvent regarder en ligne depuis chez elles. L’accueil officiel a lieu à 13 h. 
  • Célébration des tambours
    Participez à une tentative pancanadienne d’établir un nouveau record du monde Guinness pour « le plus grand nombre de personnes effectuant un roulement de tambour en ligne simultanément »! La date limite pour s’inscrire est le 23 juin. 
  • Jeux et concours
    Nous avons prévu une variété de jeux et de concours pour le grand jour, notamment un jeu de questions-réponses Kahoot, un tournoi de jeux vidéo Rocket League, un concours « Montrez vos couleurs canadiennes » et un concours de danse sur la musique canadienne.
  • Concert pour automobilistes, de 18 h à 20 h
    Participez à notre concert pour automobilistes avec Kayla Diamond dans le confort de votre propre voiture. Le nombre de places étant limité, inscrivez-vous rapidement. Vous pouvez également regarder le concert en ligne depuis chez vous.

  • Simulation virtuelle de feux d’artifice, 20 h
    Admirez les feux d’artifice de la fête du Canada sur votre appareil mobile ou votre ordinateur! La simulation virtuelle de feux d’artifice commence à 20 h.
