Richmond Hill – The City of Richmond Hill needs your feedback to guide decisions about the future of Richmond Green, one of the city’s destination parks, as work continues to revitalize the city’s largest sporting and events park.

The Richmond Green Revitalization Master Plan will focus on maintaining the park as the City’s largest outdoor sporting and events venue, featuring sustainable horticulture and continuing to be a park that generates pride and promotes a sense of belonging for residents.
Join us and have your say about proposed options including:
- The preferred location for permanent pickleball courts
- Expanded walking trails to connect the buildings with the park and surrounding neighbourhood
- Preferred traffic calming measures and signage for park roadways
- Designated youth sports area with a centrally located skate park, basketball courts and potential new volleyball courts
- New drop-off area for soccer players
- New concession, washrooms, picnic pavilion and storage in new or renovated Agricultural Building to support large events
- New gazebo and ecological gardens around the stormwater pond
- Improved waterplay area
- How the park revitalization options should be phased and more.
Richmond Green is located at 1300 Elgin Mills Road East and is home to family favourite events such as Canada Day celebrations and Ribfest. It includes a 26,000 sq. ft. indoor sports centre, a seasonal soccer dome and outdoor field, a skateboarding park, seasonal bocce and pickleball courts, a skate trail, baseball diamonds, the Boynton House Art Exhibition Space, Tom Graham Arena and more.
