New Merry Marketplace and Winter Lights Brighten up Richmond Green Park  

RICHMOND HILL – Winter kicks off early this year in Richmond Hill with the launch of the City’s 2022/2023 Winter Series this weekend! The City is offering great ways for residents to get out and enjoy fun, festive activities in the community, including: 

• Merry Marketplace – New this year is a holiday-style market on five consecutive Saturdays starting November 19 from 4-9 p.m. at Richmond Green Park. In addition to shopping and food concessions, the Marketplace will also offer contests, activities and live entertainment… plus a meet and greet with Santa Claus!
• Winter Lights – Back by popular demand, stroll through the Richmond Green Heritage Walkway and enjoy the vast array of trees lit for the season. On November 19 through March.
• Light Up Richmond Hill Contest – Returning for the third year, submit a photo to the City’s website of your decorated home and/or business for a chance to win a prize pack. Contest runs from November 18 to December 12. For contest rules and entry, visit RichmondHill.ca/LightUpRH
• Outdoor Skating – Weather and conditions permitting, the Richmond Green Skate Trail is expected to open mid-December with additional outdoor skating opportunities planned for the New Year. Subscribe for updates at RichmondHill.ca/OutdoorSkating and be among the first to know when skating opens!
• New Year’s Eve Festivities – Join us for First Night, a fun-filled family celebration from 6-9 p.m. on December 31. This year’s event includes musical performances, interactive activities and tasty treats at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.
