Richmond Hill to Invest $37 Million in Community
RICHMOND HILL – The Budget Committee of the Whole approved the draft 2020 capital budget at its meeting November 12. The capital budget will go to the December 18 Council meeting for final approval.
The 2020 capital budget will focus on managing and renewing City assets and infrastructure to support a vibrant, sustainable municipality. Significant projects worth more than $1 million in the 2020 draft capital budget include:

New Oak Ridges Library Opening November 12
The City of Richmond Hill is excited to announce that the new Oak Ridges Library is opening to the public on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 a.m.
The two-storey, 19,000 sq ft facility located at 34 Regatta Avenue includes meeting rooms for public and library use, a children’s program room, computer room, Maker Space room, expanded library collection of books and magazines for all ages, study spaces and dedicated areas for children, tweens, teens and adults.

Richmond Hill Council Sets Maximum 1% Tax Increase
RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill Council reaffirmed its commitment to limiting a tax increase to one per cent in 2020 at Tuesday’s Budget Committee of the Whole meeting.
