Your Opportunity to Help Plan the Future of Richmond Hill!
City invites residents and businesses to get involved in phase two of City Plan 2041
Richmond Hill – The City of Richmond Hill is hosting its next virtual open house and online survey to give residents, workers and businesses more opportunity to get involved in planning for our future.
Building on community input and ideas received earlier this year, the City is launching the second phase of its Official Plan update, also known as City Plan 2041.
During the first phase, the City identified a vision for the Richmond Hill: By 2041, the City of Richmond Hill will be the centerpiece of York Region and one of the most prominent, complete communities in the Greater Toronto Area.
The City is now proposing key directions that will form the basis for changes to the City’s Official Plan to shape the future of the City’s communities and support economic development opportunities. Among other things, these directions aim to:
- attract business investments
- mitigate the effects of climate change
- improve walkability, and
- create complete communities that provide residents, workers and visitors with options for transit, amenities, recreation, services, and housing
Feedback from residents and businesses will play an important part in confirming that the proposed ideas will address local priorities and changing community needs.
Here’s how you can get involved:
