Richmond Hill Library Board Changes Based on Composition By-law
RICHMOND HILL – At a Special Council Meeting held on August 12, 2019, Richmond Hill Council voted to confirm the citizen members who are appointed to the Richmond Hill Public Library Board for the 2018-2022 term in accordance with the Library Board Composition By-law (2001). The original appointments made by Council on February 25, 2019 were contrary to the requirements of that By-law and are therefore not valid.

Oak Ridges Library Construction Update

Since the default of the original construction contract and significant discussions with Zurich Insurance, Buttcon Limited took over construction of the new Oak Ridges Library in March 2019 to complete the remaining 10% of the work. Construction has progressed effectively with the majority of the focus on the interior finishes and as targeted we continue to work towards a late-fall 2019 opening.

Reminder: August 1 is the Deadline for Library Board Applications
RICHMOND HILL – Applications for the Richmond Hill Library Board will be accepted up to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019. The application form can be found online at RichmondHill.ca and in the Office of the Clerk located on the ground floor of the main Municipal Offices (225 East Beaver Creek Road).
