Richmond Hill Reaches Contract Agreement with Firefighters
RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill Council approved a new five-year contract with the city’s Fire and Emergency Services Division at the April 30 Council meeting. The contract covers the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022.
The International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1957, Richmond Hill, ratified the contract on April 29 and 30.

Please be advised that CN will be closing Bethesda Sideroad at the CN rail crossing on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The road closure is necessary to facilitate a crossing rehabilitation.
While there will be some inconvenience to the public who use this road regularly, all efforts will be made to minimize the inconvenience during this time. All emergency services, parking enforcement, schools, and transit services will be notified of this closure.

RICHMOND HILL – Today, Premier Doug Ford announced a $28.5 billion funding commitment to expand Ontario’s transit network. As part of this commitment, the Province will invest $5.6 billion to build the Yonge Subway Extension (YSE) north to Richmond Hill.
