The Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) is celebrating Small Business Week with a series of exciting events to be held from October 19 - 25, 2024.
This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the resilience, innovation, and contributions of small businesses within our community. This week-long event provides a platform for entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and grow through a series of workshops, webinars, and networking sessions. Our goal is to empower small business owners with the tools, resources, and insights needed to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in today’s dynamic economic landscape.
As we bring together industry experts, government representatives, and local business leaders, Small Business Week serves as a catalyst for fostering collaboration and driving the success of small enterprises.

Marketplace for Small Businesses (in-person) - Saturday, October 19, 1 – 4 p.m. |
Kick off Small Business Week at the library! Shop and support our curated vendors while connecting with small businesses. Interested in starting your own business? Come and speak to the Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre representatives to give you step-by-step process to start your small business. This program will take place at the Richmond Hill Public Library, Central branch at 1 Atkinson Street in the Events Room on the third floor. No registration required. |
Teen Community Leaders Program (in-person) - Monday, October 21, 4 - 5:30 p.m. |
In the fall session of Richmond Hill Public Library’s Teen Community Leaders program, make meaningful contributions to your community and develop leadership skills alongside other teens. Small Business Consultant, Alan Luk will present the Summer Company Program for aspiring youth entrepreneurs.
