Richmond Hill Centre (RHC) is located in the area of Highway 7 and Yonge Street and has been identified as the City’s primary intensification area. The RHC is intended to develop into a compact, transit-supportive mixed-use centre and will be a prominent regional focal point for planned public rapid transit infrastructure and investment.
Richmond Hill Centre is approximately 98 hectares and is currently comprised primarily of big-box stores, established residential neighbourhoods, several residential towers, and retail and commercial uses along Yonge Street.
Langstaff GO station, Richmond Hill Transit Terminal and the 407 ETR are the major transportation and transit facilities located in the RHC. This area also includes a hydro corridor, a stormwater pond and a CN Rail line.

Urban Square/Transit Plaza

Bridge Station
- Bridge Station will be an important intermodal transit hub located on lands within Richmond Hill between Highway 7 and Highway 407 that will open up new travel possibilities in York Region and beyond, conveniently connecting the subway with GO train, GO bus and local transit service including VIVA Bus Rapid Transit.
- Acting as a couplet to the High Tech Station within RHC, Bridge Station will enable easy access to subway, inter regional bus service, GO rail and the 407 Transitway. The station will function as a critical link between the Richmond Hill Centre and Langstaff Gateway areas.

High Tech Station
- Located at the heart of RHC and close to where people live and work making walking and cycling to station a viable option.
- The surrounding High Tech Station area is envisioned as a centre for arts and culture, civic facilities, entertainment uses, and open spaces to create a dynamic working, living and entertainment node centered around higher-order transit, serving as the most dynamic destination within the city.
