In 2025 Richmond Hill Centre major milestones included:

Metrolinx awarded tunnel contract to North End Connectors Consortium for twin 6.3 km tunnels which will run from south of Langstaff Road in Markham to Finch Station
Zoning initiative for Richmond Hill Centre completed and incorporated into the City’s new Comprehensive Zoning By-law

Initiated planning for the integration of municipal community facilities into Richmond Hill Centre
Completed all utility works required for subway tunnel construction

In 2024 Richmond Hill Centre major milestones included:

Metrolinx opened a Community Engagement Office at 295 High Tech Road, to provide direct access for public inquiries, updates and stakeholder engagement.
City of Richmond Hill updated the Richmond Hill Centre development application process and review.
Planning, design and relocation of utilities continued in preparation for major construction.
