Richmond Hill has a number of locations for professional photo shoots for wedding, engagement or family photos. Permits are available from May to September. You must purchase a permit before taking photographs in association with a wedding or other event in Richmond Hill parks as per By-Law 19-22.

Richmond Hill residents pay $91.71 for a two-hour photography permit.
Non-residents pay $142.39 for a two-hour permit.
All fees and rates are subject to HST.

Amos Wright Park |
Amos Wright Park is located behind the Richmond Hill Heritage Centre at: 19 Church Street North The park is landscaped and has a white gazebo. The Heritage Centre itself is an 1840 Regency-style cottage that has been fully restored. |
David Dunlap Observatory Park |
David Dunlap Observatory Park is located at: 123 Hillsview Drive This 189-acre property has a great natural setting. The area also has historic structures on-site, including the Observatory Dome and Administration Building. These buildings as well as certain landscapes in the park are protected as a cultural heritage landscape under the Ontario Heritage Act. Indoor photos are not available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from May 1 - October 31. |

Mill Pond Park is located at: Corner of Mill and Trench Streets The park surrounds a picturesque pond with a boardwalk, walkways, greenery and a large gazebo. |
Phyllis Rawlinson Park |
Phyllis Rawlinson Park is located at: 11715 Leslie Street This 89-acre property has a great natural setting. The area also has historic structures on-site, including the original farmhouse and barn which is York Region's oldest designated heritage building. |

Unity Park is located at: 63 Dunsmore Crescent This small park has a lovely white gazebo and white trellises. The garden, greenery and walkways are good for a variety of photos. |
