Sports Awards
Sports Awards nominations are now open. Nominate your candidates for the Sport Champion Athlete, Team or Official Award, and/or the Sport Champion Coach Award by Monday, April 7.
Since 1978, the Richmond Hill Sports Awards have recognized the achievements of local athletes, officials, teams and coaches who have shown athletic excellence in Richmond Hill or contributed to the development of sport in Richmond Hill.
Champion Athletes and Teams have placed first in a provincial, national or international championship, or placed first in the highest level of competition that their sport allows, according to their sports' governing body. All champions must live in Richmond Hill or represent Richmond Hill when competing in their sport. The 2025 Sports Awards celebrates the success of champions from 2024.
Champion Coaches must have several years of coaching experience, be a Richmond Hill resident or train Richmond Hill athletes or teams. They must demonstrate commitment to coaching education and contribute to their sport beyond coaching.
The Richmond Hill Sports Awards are hosted by the Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame Committee.
