School Support Designation
To ensure that you receive the correct ballot for the 2026 Municipal Elections, review or change your school support designation by June 1.
Whether you rent or own your home, your property is linked to a school board even if you don’t have children or your children are not currently attending school. Unless a request is placed, your school support will default to the English-Public School Board. You may be eligible to support the English-Catholic, French-Public, or French-Catholic school boards. The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is legislatively responsible for collecting school support designation information under the Education Act.
To ensure your school support designation aligns with your preferences, please review and update it if necessary, by June 1, 2026. Your school support designation determines which ballot you will be provided and which Trustee election you can participate in.
