From now until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, you can use the online tool to check whether you are on the Voters' List and add or update your voter information.

To make changes to the Voters' List you will need to upload copies or images of your identification showing your name and qualifying address. If uploading an image of an Ontario driver's licence you must attach an image of both sides of the license. Only current, valid or in force documents shall be accepted. Expired identification will not be accepted.

The following is a list of acceptable identification for the purpose of amending, revising, or adding an elector to the Voter’s List. The name and qualifying address on the identification must be the same as on the application to update the Voters’ List.

After 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, you will need to visit a Vote Centre to add yourself to the Voter’s List, or to update your information. View Vote Centre Locations and hours for In-Person Voting.
You can vote if you are:

a Canadian citizen; and
-
at least 18 years old on or before Voting Day (October 26, 2026); and
-
a resident of Richmond Hill, an owner or tenant of land in the City of Richmond Hill, or the spouse of an owner or tenant of land in Richmond Hill; and
-
not prohibited from voting under any law
It is important to check to see if your voter information is correct for the 2026 Municipal Elections, especially if you have moved or changed your name since the 2022 Municipal Elections or more recently, the 2024 York Region District School Board Trustee By-election.
