Carol has an MA in Journalism from Western University and a Hons. BA, in Political Science from the University of Waterloo.
She was a journalist and manager with CTV News for over 25 years.
She has also worked as an academic researcher focusing on Internet security, disinformation and social media manipulation.
Carol also ran a small communication business and contracted work at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
In addition, she co-founded the Council Accountability Group (CAG) in 2020, a grassroots community organization that aimed to improve residents' understanding of municipal government work.
Carol and her husband, Gilles, have lived in Oak Ridges for over 23-years, where they raised their three children.
Carol strongly believes in a transparent, accessible government. She is looking forward to serving the residents of Oak Ridges to the best of her ability.
