Water and Wastewater Master Plan
The City is undertaking Water and Wastewater Master Plans to ensure that our drinking water distribution and wastewater collection systems are capable of supporting Richmond Hill’s current and future needs in a cost effective and sustainable way. This will include evaluation of the City’s current water and wastewater infrastructure systems for efficiency improvement opportunities while taking into account Richmond Hill’s projected population growth.
The Master Plans will be carried out according to the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2024, as amended) under the Environmental Assessment Act. Results from these studies will be documented in Project File Reports that will be made available for a public review period. At that time, residents, Indigenous communities, government agencies, adjacent municipalities and other interested persons or groups will be informed of when and where the environmental assessment documents can be reviewed in the sections below.
