Welcome to the most exhilarating adventure in Richmond Hill. Our Adventure Series is an exciting program that introduces youngsters to a variety of outdoor skills. Enroll in an Adventure Series program and start your adventure today! With your Adventure Series Passport you'll find your way, climb to new heights, blaze a trail, and so much more. Try something new this year. For each course you complete, you will be awarded a sticker. When you have earned all six stickers, you can collect your reward. Come on, let's go outside!

Spotlight
Night Hikes and Bonfires - Children can experience the wonder of nighttime wilderness on a guided night hike through the woods designed to heighten their senses and give them an opportunity to enjoy all the unusual sights, sounds and sensations. The hike will end around a campfire. Register today!
Orienteering - Orienteering offers children an opportunity to hone their decision-making skills by using a map and compass for navigation. Register to gain these new skills.
Bonfire Bash
Get together with your friends! Guests ages 6+, will enjoy a guided hike ending with a campfire built and maintained by Richmond Hill staff. The program runs for 90 minutes at Phyllis Rawlinson Park, with a maximum of 15 participants for $245.68 (with tax). Group Programs and Private Bookings
We welcome groups of all sizes. We offer programs such as geocaching, fire and shelter building, hiking, campfires, archery and so much more. If you are looking for a specific type of program, a girl guide or scout badge, or just looking to get outside we can develop, create, and deliver this custom program.
Homeschool, Guide and Scout Groups, or Private Bookings
Richmond Hill's Adventure Series programs offers individuals a variety of outdoor experiences to spark their sense of exploration and discovery. If you are a homeschool group, a guide or scout group or just a group of friends that want to get together in nature, do we have programs for you. Whether it’s taking aim at an archery target, learning how to build shelters and fires, learning how to use compasses, releasing your inner nature artist, nature walks, campfires or even a create your own adventure, we have what you are looking for. We offer programs from a onetime program to multi week programs to fit your group’s needs. We can accommodate small and large groups, and anything in the middle. So if you are looking for a fun, new, exciting field trip or just a chance to get outside Richmond Hill is the place for you.

Eyer Ropes Challenge Course
Located in Eyer Homestead Park, the Ropes Challenge Course and rock climbing wall delivers a high-level of outdoor fun for adventurous children and adults. Learn more about the course or book your next birthday party here!

Weather
Richmond Hill's outdoor recreation programs take place outside. Please come prepared to be outside and dress for the weather. We run programs whether it's sunny, rainy or snowy.
In the colder months you should wear:
- Layers of clothing
- A warm waterproof jacket
- A hat
- Mitts/gloves
- Closed-toe shoes, rubber boots or winter boots
In the summertime you should come prepared with the following:
- Bug repellent
- Sunscreen
- A baseball cap
- A water bottle
- Closed-toe shoes
