ArtWalk 2026

The Richmond Hill ArtWalk is a one-day indoor and outdoor artist and artisan marketplace at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.

The 2026 Richmond Hill ArtWalk will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This event is free of charge for visitors.

Explore original works and shop from dozens of local artists and artisans, while enjoying creative activities and live music performances. This event showcases unique, handcrafted pieces across a range of artforms and mediums.

12 - 1 p.m. Richmond Hill Concert Band The Richmond Hill Concert Band returns to ArtWalk to bring you a lively new ensemble in the Outdoor Plaza!
2 - 3 p.m. Toronto Women’s Dragon Drum Group Experience the captivating art of Chinese drumming in this performance from the Toronto Women’s Dragon Drum Group. The TWDDG will perform two movements, with a brief intermission for visitors to try their own hand at drumming!

Vicky Talwar Stop in at the Cultural Centre at 10184 Yonge Street, to join artist Vicky Talwar in a make and take craft activity! Try your hand at a new style of painting and see what the Cultural Centre has to offer.
12 - 4 p.m. Henna Visit Shaniya from My Henna Atellier in the Plaza to receive your very own temporary henna tattoo!
11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Artist in Residence Meet & Greet Come meet the new 2026 Richmond Hill Artist in Residence! Learn about the exciting work they are doing to bring new art to Richmond Hill.

As part of Culture Days, take a short stroll one block south of ArtWalk and visit the Richmond Hill Cultural Centre (10184 Yonge Street) on Sunday, September 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.  While you're here, enjoy:

  • Mixed Media Drop-In Art Activity with Vicky Talwar
    • Open to all ages, free to participate, and supplies available while quantities last!
  • Meet the Exhibiting Artists of the Current Hallway Gallery Exhibitions
    • Connect with artists featured in the Cultural Centre Hallway Galleries. Learn about their creative practices and current exhibitions.
      • First Floor: Yue Gao presents geometric abstractions grounded in rational construction and spatial thinking.
      • Second Floor: Irene YooKyung Cha explores the relationship between technology and nature, and the possibility of harmony between them.

Yes. Many participating artists and artisans will have original artwork and handcrafted items available for purchase. Payment methods vary by vendor, so visitors are encouraged to bring a variety of payment options.

Families can enjoy a variety of free activities, which may include:

  • Spray painting
  • Henna art
  • Live portrait drawings
  • Make-and-take crafts from vendors

Activities are offered while supplies and artist availability last.

 

Will there be live entertainment?

Yes. Visitors can enjoy live performances throughout the day, including community musicians and groups – Richmond Hill Concert Band and Toronto Women’s Dragon Drum group.

 

Is ArtWalk an indoor or outdoor event?

ArtWalk is both an indoor and outdoor event. Activities, performances, galleries, and artisan booths are located throughout the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts and surrounding parking lot and outdoor courtyard plaza.

 

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is an accessible facility. Accessible washrooms and entrances are available on-site.

 

Is parking available?

Yes. Parking is available near the venue. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early as parking spaces may be limited during peak event hours. Street parking is nearby. Please

 

Can I get to ArtWalk by public transit?

Yes. The venue is accessible by public transit as it is along the Yonge Street corridor.

 

Will food and beverages be available?

Laos-C-Chef, local food catering business and pop-up vendor based in York Region

What happens if it rains?

The event will take place rain or shine. Outdoor activities may be adjusted in the event of rain. If inclement weather arises, the event will be amended.
