Community Tree Planting and Stewardship Events
Community Stewardship Program
Richmond Hill is recognized as a Tree City of the World by The Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for being committed to growing and maintaining our urban forest.
Since 1998, through our award winning Community Stewardship Program, we've worked with partner agencies and 33,600+ community volunteers to improve our local environment by planting 271,100+ trees and shrubs; cleaning up streams and removing invasive plants from our parks and natural areas.
Help Richmond Hill stay green and work with others in our community to care for our natural spaces. You will improve our natural areas, raise awareness, provide hands-on help and inspire others to do the same.
