Richmond Hill has two great skate parks for skateboarders and in-line skaters to enjoy!

The Richmond Green Skate Park is located in the northwest corner of Richmond Green Park at:

1300 Elgin Mills Road East
Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M5

The Lake Wilcox Skate Park is located at the south end of Lake Wilcox Park:

What's at the skate park?

All levels of skaters (beginners, intermediates and experts) are welcome at the Richmond Green Skate Park. The park has the following equipment:

  • Modular ramps
  • Banks
  • Stairs
  • Ledges
  • Rails
  • Mini ramp with spine and pump bumps

Park rules

Skaters need to follow the rules and regulations of Richmond Green Skate Park when they use the facility, including:

  • Wear your safety gear (helmets, elbow, wrist and knee pads are recommended)
  • Youths 10 years of age and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older
  • The park is closed for safety reasons when it rains (the park reopens when the equipment is dry)
  • The park is closed during the winter or when there are icy conditions
  • Richmond Hill doesn't assume any liability for injury to participants or spectators of any skateboarding or in-line skating activities
  • Call 9-1-1 in case of emergency (the nearest pay phones are located in the Richmond Green Sports Centre and the Tom Graham Arena)
  • Call 905-884-8013 to let us know about any damages to the facility that need repairs
  • The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk
  • This is an unsupervised park, use at your own risk

Facility Watch

Participants and spectators at the Richmond Green Skate Park must also follow our Facility Watch rules:

  • The park is designed for skateboarding and in-line skating, no BMX bikes are allowed
  • Don't rearrange or add any equipment
  • Keep the park clean
  • No graffiti, stickers or littering are allowed, according to Richmond Hill's By-law 16-83
  • Share the park and be considerate to your fellow skaters
  • Look out for young skaters
  • No pushing, shoving or rough housing
  • No drugs or alcohol (including use of tobacco and cannabis) 
  • No inappropriate language or loud music
  • Richmond Hill reserves the right to ask participants to leave the facility for safety reasons and fairness to other participants
  • All participants must leave the park when asked to by Richmond Hill staff
