Richmond Hill has two great skate parks for skateboarders, BMX riders and in-line skaters to enjoy! All skill levels and ages are welcome.
Richmond Green Skate Park
The skate park is located in the northwest corner of Richmond Green Park (1300 Elgin Mills Road East) and features:
- Modular ramps
- Banks, stairs, ledges and rails
- Mini ramp with spine and pump bumps
*Richmond Green Skate Park is designed for skateboarding and in-line skating, no BMX bikes are allowed
Lake Wilcox Skate Park
The skate park is located at the south end of Lake Wilcox Park (Bayview Avenue and Bayview Park Lane) and features a:
- Unique Flow Bowl that includes four, six and eight foot depths, a nine foot half pipe and a 14 foot over-vertical ‘capsule'
- Street-style section with various stair sets, rails and ledges
Park rules
- Wear your safety gear (helmets, elbow, wrist and knee pads are recommended)
- Youth 10 years of age and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older
- The parks are closed for safety reasons when it rains (the parks reopen when the equipment is dry)
- The parks are closed during the winter or when there are icy conditions
- Richmond Hill doesn't assume any liability for injury to participants or spectators of any skateboarding, in-line skating, BMX or other activities
- Call 9-1-1 in case of emergency (pay phones are located in the Richmond Green Sports Centre and the Tom Graham Arena)
- Call 905-771-8800 to let us know about any damages to the facility that need repairs
- The parks are open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk
- These are unsupervised parks, use at your own risk
Facility Watch
Participants and spectators must also follow our Facility Watch rules:
- Don't rearrange or add any equipment
- Keep the parks clean
- No graffiti, stickers or littering are allowed
- Share the parks and be considerate to others
- Look out for young or less experienced users
- No pushing, shoving or rough housing
- No drugs or alcohol (including use of tobacco and cannabis)
- No inappropriate language or loud music
- Richmond Hill reserves the right to ask participants to leave the facility for safety reasons and fairness to other participants
- All participants must leave the park when asked to by Richmond Hill staff
