All you need to know about our School Break Programs

We are so glad your child is embarking on their adventure with us!

What you need to do before the first day

Confirm that the emergency contact information for you and your family members in ActiveRH is accurate.

To help your first day go smoothly, please complete the Authorized Participant Pickup and Sign Out Form and bring it to the first day.

Medical Information

Children who require prescribed medication must complete the Participant Allergy and Medication Information Form and bring it to the first day.

Medication must be prescribed by a physician and must be stored in original containers. The medication will be kept in a locked box in the facility office. If your child develops a communicable disease during our programs (e.g. colds, pink eye), please inform staff immediately.

This will allow us to inform other participants so they can take the necessary precautions.

Note: There may be additional forms that you will be required to fill in on the first day. These additional forms will be available on-site where applicable.

What you need to know before the first day

Here is a handy checklist of what to bring:

  • NUT-FREE Lunch and 2 snacks*
  • Pre-filled water bottle
  • Outdoor clothing – all programs will have an outdoor component (weather permitting), so make sure to dress accordingly to weather conditions
  • Completed Authorized Participant Pickup and Sign Out Form
  • Lots of energy and a great attitude!

*There will be one lunch break and two snack breaks. Please remember that all programs are NUT-FREE (this includes packaging that “May Contain Nuts”. If your snack is homemade, please include a note stating it is “Nut-Free”). Foods should not require refrigeration or a microwave. If your child has a severe food-related allergy, this must be communicated to staff on the first day.

Pick-up and Drop-off

Children must be dropped off and picked up in the designated area, which is clearly marked at each facility. In order to ensure maximum safety, parents/guardians will be required to sign in and sign out their child each day (unless the self sign out form has been submitted).

If you give permission for another person to pick up your child, they must be included in the Authorized Participant Pickup and Sign Out Form. I.D may be requested.

Program Hours

Unless otherwise stated, program hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
