Resources for Artists and Cultural Groups
Richmond Hill supports artists and cultural groups in our community.
Art Galleries and Exhibition Spaces
Boynton House Art Exhibition Space
The Boynton House Art Exhibition Space is a self-directed, artist-run exhibition space where artists independently curate, install, manage, and promote their exhibitions. The space features four bright display rooms equipped with professional hanging systems and gallery-style track lighting, offering flexibility for a wide range of exhibition styles and creative approaches.
Artists are responsible for overseeing the exhibition during public viewing hours and coordinating any associated programming or promotion.
Each exhibition will also be featured on the City’s Boynton House webpage. The facility is available by permit only between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., with no access permitted outside of these hours.
Visual Art Gallery
Through an annual open call for submissions, the Richmond Hill Visual Art Gallery invites artists, collectives, arts organizations, and schools to propose exhibitions for its year-round program. Located in the main lobby of the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA), the gallery presents selected projects as a rotating series of monthly exhibitions.
Hallway Galleries
Located within the Richmond Hill Cultural Centre, the Hallway Galleries present a rotating series of three-month exhibitions that enrich Richmond Hill’s cultural community. Through an annual open call for submissions, visual artists are invited to apply for exhibition opportunities featuring 2D, ready-to-hang artwork. Housed in a beautifully restored 1936 post office building, the galleries provide a welcoming space for artists to share their work within a vibrant arts and cultural hub.
